Photographing Christina and Billy’s stunning summer wedding up in the Blue Ridge Parkway was an extra special honor for me, as I’ve been lucky enough to have Christina in front of my camera for nearly my entire photography career. Through her role owning the local Pure Barre studios in Greensboro, North Carolina, I’ve gotten to watch Christina grow through business branding sessions, through taking her Ambassador photos for the Greensboro Lululemon store, and now as the most stunning bride.

The weekend’s festivities started off with the most elegant rehearsal dinner at the Westglow Spa in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Since Billy is an avid golfer, the rehearsal dinner was creatively themed as a golf party, and every detail was absolutely perfect. 1618 Catering wore golf caddie vests with the couple’s new last name on the back, and the florals on each table setting were creatively set up to mimic the most fine art golf course.

When it came to their actual wedding day, Christina and Billy perfectly infused their refined elegance, exquisite taste, and love for creating a thoughtful and enjoyable event. The floral talents of Golden Thistle Design highlighted the natural beauty of the mountain venue, and the day was filled with creative details to celebrate the couple’s personality and family history. The limoncello shots that the guests used to cheers the happy couple were a thoughtful nod to Christina’s Italian roots.

All in all, their wedding day beautifully encompassed the splendor and beauty of their Blue Ridge Parkway mountain venue, and resulted in truly stunning photos. Scroll down to see some of my favorites!

Tell us your proposal story?

It was my sister’s birthday – July 27th. My mom, Maria, and I went to get our nails done for Maria’s birthday and for my upcoming trip to the Greenbrier with Billy. I got home, walked in the door, and Billy was on one knee as soon as I walked in – with our puppy, Evie, right by his side! He proposed in our house, just us, it was perfect. Our parents and siblings came about an hour after with champagne and catering from 1618! We spent the evening with our family and then just us, and then headed to the Greenbrier for a week to soak up the special time together!

Would you like to share anything about your wedding planning experience together? Is there any advice you’d love to give future couples about planning a wedding together?

If you could describe your wedding day in three words, what would they be?

Simple, elegant, fun

What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day? Did anything funny happen? What made you laugh or cry? The more info here, the better!

My favorite moments were the Pure Barre class in the morning with some of my closest friends, getting into my dress with my mom and sisters, the first look with Billy, my grandpa’s speech, my dad’s speech, sitting down at the table to eat dinner and just having a moment to be calm, breathe, and look around at everything.
