What could be absolutely more chic, cool, and *pardon our French* badass, than a bride switching out of her Mira Zwillinger gown into a Savannah Miller jumpsuit, donning a leather jacket and petite lily of the valley bouquet, and riding off into the D.C. sunset with her groom on a Harley Davidson motorcycle? If your answer is “nothing,” then you’ll swoon for this wedding inspiration dreamed up by East Made Co.
Merging classic, quintessential D.C. style with a “cool girl” twist, our day begins at La Vie, a waterfront restaurant/event venue in D.C.’s trendy Wharf neighborhood. Traditional bridal touches like Dior ballet flats, romantic calligraphy, and an antique pearl engagement ring are modernized with black/charcoal paper colors, smokey glassware and matte black plates, and the most stunning marble and rice paper cake you ever did see.
The real showstoppers of this editorial, though, are the stunning floral creations by Sweet Root Village. From a purposeful and whimsical ombré runner seemingly growing from the dinner table, to the two bridal bouquets, to the absolutely breathtaking rooftop ceremony installation, every element is lush, creative, and inviting. Carly and Tyler, our real couple, have the sweetest natural chemistry and energy, and Carly was simply luminous standing among the ceremony florals. Every element from this day is straight out of our dreams, and serves as the perfect inspiration for modern creative brides as we approach 2021!
