When Caroline and Jake originally planned their wedding, they envisioned a classic and timeless wedding at a modern wedding venue in Greensboro, North Carolina; however, they had to change their plans due to COVID limitations. Luckily, Jake’s family owns an absolutely stunning lake house up at the breathtaking Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, and with a little creative planning, Caroline and Jake ended up having the most incredibly elegant backyard wedding of all time! The couple said their vows in front of a classic little chapel on the grounds of the Water’s Edge Country Club, and then hosted their reception dinner at the club house. After the dinner and dancing, the guests retired to Jake’s family home on the waterside for an incredible night of music, dancing, and of course, wedding cake!
